WHIT WALK SUCCESS

Changes of circumstance forced changes in the much loved Whitt Walk this year but at the recent post walk review meeting there were a lot of positive responses expressed. Plans are afoot for next year taking into consideration suggestions that were made regarding the new route through town and ways in which the profile of the walk could be raised to attract more visitors.

“We remembered safety and sunshine, participation by so many church members, a friendly reception by shops and public, support and assistance from the Town Centre Manager and Vicar Lane Manager, keen participation by the Bands, support from Triobikes, good publicity and attendance by local press, donations and reserves sufficient to pay the bills.”
